We awoke to some very sad news this morning - Dad's sister June had passed away overnight in South Africa. RIP Auntie June. Dad is the youngest of four, with June being the youngest of his three sisters. The two older sisters, Maureen and Heather passed away some time ago. When we told Dad about June he said, "I was just thinking about June the other day and wondering how she was going", sibling telepathy??
While Wendy walked this morning, Greg got some old Silky Oak timber ready that we were giving to Bob's son, the chippy. Dad had a dentist appointment, so Wendy drove him and Mum to the surgery as parking is at a premium around that area. She stopped off at the bakery on the way home for some custard tarts and a French vanilla slice, that was quite sweet and a little ordinary. After Bob left with the timber, Wendy went to pick up Mum and Dad from the dentist.
After just pottering around almost all day, Greg decided mid-afternoon that he needed to go for a ride, so off he went. Dinner was had not long after he arrived home and we sat and reminisced about our days in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, before it was time to get ready for bed.
