After breakfast Greg and I took Dad into the Services Australia building to try and link his Centrelink to his MyGov. Unfortunately, there had been too many unsuccessful attempts to access the account so his account had been locked due to 'uninformed consent'. Wendy stayed very calm and accepted that Dad's MyGov account needed to be deleted and a new one started. The nice lady we were dealing with said it would take three days for the account to be deleted, and then we could start again. She explained that when we could restart the whole process, if we came into the office, she, or someone, could assist in linking both Medicare and Centrelink to Dad's new MyGov acct. So we made an appointment for next Tue. Unfortunately for Dad, he had to walk a fair distance, for him, using his wheelie walker and by the time we got home he was buggered, so went straight to bed.
After lunch Greg and Mum went for a drive to look at various mobility device options for Rob. As we don't know at this time what his short-term condition will be, it was difficult to make a decision. However we know now that there's some really good options available that's for sure. Greg took a liking to the carbon fibre wheelie walker, so light and smooth. Greg thinks he wants one to add to his carbon fibre bicycle collection.
As it rained steady all day, we confined ourselves to indoor activities. It was a nice change.
