Wendy suggested we do a Mt Ainslie ride today as she has never done it before. Greg did it regularly, on a racer or tourer, for training when we lived in Canberra. He was a little younger and a lot stronger then. On an e-bike it was quite easy, although Wendy was sweating a lot when she got to the top. The views were not as good as they could have been due to the light fog. The ride down was excellent! We are glad we didn't encounter any roos on the road, we were doing almost 60km/h!
We then rode down Anzac Parade and photographed a few of the memorials, an amazing and varied tribute to those who made this country safe and free. It was then onto the Lake, over Kings Avenue Bridge to The Jetty where we had mornos with a lovely view of Lake BG. Onwards we travelled back home via the well cycled path, we could almost do it in our sleep now!
We had lunch then a little rest, before Greg got stuck into cleaning up a part of the garden, while Wendy helped Mum with their at-home care schedules.
