While Wendy went for her morning walk, Greg got stuck into his tasks for the day - affixing the corrugated plastic to the patio structure. He then removed some plants from pots and planted them into the garden.
After lunch, Greg's legs were growing itchy so he went for a ride. Ended up Diary Farmers Hill at the National Arboretum, then at the National Botanical Gardens, both of which he loves to visit every time he's in Canberra.
Mum and Dad took us out to Oliver at Hawker for dinner. It is a Mediterranean restaurant and the four mains were:
Dad and Greg: Lamb shoulder
Mum: Pork medallions with sage in lemon sauce
Wendy: Penne Zingara - chicken pieces with pasta in a very nice creamy sauce
Desserts:
Dad: Apple tarte tartin
Mum: Tiramisu (was very nice)
Greg: Ekmek - very fancy bread and butter pudding
Wendy: wanted Baklava but they were sold out, so had a crème brûlèe
All meals were absolutely delicious and we all walked out with big fat tummies (except Greg). While the meals were great, the service was a bit slow (they were about one third full) and it was VERY noisy. The Nona in charge was a hoot, very engaging. We will probably go back next time we are in town.
